You read correctly. In WRATH GODDESS SING Achilles is not a man. She is a woman who was born in the body of a man but becomes a woman physically through the power of a goddess. A women who becomes a legend on the battlefield before Troy.
I highly enjoyed this unusual retelling. Deane did a lot of research for this. I talk to her about that, about writing and about her debut in the following interview.
Kennt ihr den 1980er Jahre Fantasy-Streifen WILLOW?
Irgendwann in den 199er Jahren habe ich ihn zum ersten Mal gesehen (nachdem ich bereits das Buch-zum-Film gelesen hatte und ein Malbuch zum Film besaß). Ich weiß nicht, wie er mir aus heutiger Sicht gefallen würde. Tatsächlich habe ich ihn vermutlich auch schon 20 Jahre nicht mehr gesehen. Damals aber fand ich ihn toll!
Die Willow Serie kommt
Und deshalb freue ich mich auch extrem, dass in ein paar Monaten eine Serienfortsetzung des Fantasyfilms starten wird.

Im Mittelpunkt steht neben dem Titelhelden wohl die Tochter von Prinzessin Sorsha (und Madmartigan?), die sich auf eine Quest begibt, um ihren Zwillingsbruder zu retten.
