Wann schläft Seanan McGuire eigentlich?
Neben mehreren Romanen in den letzten zwölf Jahren und diversen (oft kostenfreien) Kurzgeschichten erscheint ab 21. Mai 2013 auf Amazon ihr erstes Serial: “Indexing“, eine Urban Fantasy, in der Thriller/Crime auf Fairy Tale trifft, oder – wie die Autorin sagt – “Once Upon A Time” trifft auf “Criminal Minds”.
Die Tagline lautet laut McGuire: There’s no such thing as “happy ever after.” There’s only “once upon a time.” …
Ein “Serial” ist ein Fortsetzungsroman. Von “Indexing” soll alle zwei Wochen ein neues Kapitel online gehen. Insgesamt soll es ungefähr zwölf geben. Am 21. Mai 2013 geht’s los.

Jetzt erstmal die schlechte Nachricht:
Das Serial kann man als deutscher Customer nicht kaufen und es scheint nur auf Amazon.com veröffentlicht zu werden.
Die gute Nachricht: “Indexing” soll Ende des Jahres komplett allerdings auch international erhältlich sein!
Ich finde die Idee mit den ebook-Serials großartig und hoffe, Amazon führt das Format auch bald in Deutschland ein. Gerade der phantastische Markt könnte ein paar gelungene Fortsetzungserzählungen gebrauchen.

Allgemein sehr schade, dass von Seanan McGuire nur so weg ins Deutsche übersetzt wurde. Dabei fand ich z.B. die October Daye-Reihe grossartig!
