Die Königinnen des Wunderlandes gehören zu den ikonischen Gestalten der Phantastik. Kein Wunder, dass sich immer wieder auch moderne Autoren von diesen Figuren inspirieren lassen. In Frank Beddors Looking Glass Wars spielen sie eine wichtige Rolle, auch A. G. Howard thematisiert sie in ihrer “Dark Wonderland“-Reihe.
Besonders freue ich mich auf “Heartless“, den Roman, den Marissa Meyer, die Autorin der “Luna Chroniken” angekündigt hat, und in dem es um die Jugend der Herzkönigin gehen soll.
Jetzt bin ich über eine Duologie gestolpert, die zwar bereits letztes Jahr erschienen ist, in die ich aber bisher noch nicht reinschauen konnte: “Queen of Hearts” von Colleen Oakes.
Auch ihre Prämisse klingt interessant:

Wie viele von euch sicher wissen, ist Dinah der Name von Alice’ Katze in Lewis Carrolls “Alice im Wunderland”. Das wird doch sicher kein Zufall sein.
