Der eine oder andere hat vielleicht mitbekommen, dass US-Autorin Jessica Verday (“The Hollow”) nicht dazu bereit war, eine Romantasy-Kurzgeschichte mit einem schwulen Helden “auf hetero umzuschreiben” und deshalb im Frühjahr 2011 ihren Beitrag nachträglich wieder aus der Anthologie “Wicked Pretty Things” zurück zog. (Diverse andere Autorinnen zeigten sich übrigens solidarisch und zogen ihre Beiträge ebenfalls zurück – wen die genauen Umstände interessieren, empfehle ich nijas Zusammenfassung).
Verday kündigte damals an, nach einem neuen Zuhause für ihre Geschichte zu suchen. Inzwischen ist sie unter dem Titel “Flesh that is not Flesh” für 2,99 € als ebook erschienen.
