Seit ich “Die Nebel von Avalon” gelesen habe, liebe ich Romane, die Sagen und Märchen aus der Sicht des vermeintlichen Bösewichts beleuchten. Das ist auch der Grund, warum ich mich auf “Maleficent” so freue, die Hollywood-Verfilmung von Dornröschen mit dem Fokus auf die böse Fee. Schon seit Jahren frage ich mich, wie ihre Seite der Geschichte wohl aussehen würde. Nach der Ankündigung des Kinofilms war es wohl nur eine Frage der Zeit, bis sich auch Autoren dem Thema widmen würden.
Für November ist nun Jane Yolens “Curse of the Thirteenth Fey” angekündigt, ein Roman, in dem sie genau das tut:

Ich denke schon – ich zaudere nur, weil das Buch erstmal im Hardcover erscheint und mir in Anbetracht der dünnen Seitenzahl der Preis da eigentlich etwas zu hoch ist; ggf. warte ich die TB-Ausgabe ab.
